GFM Ambassador Volunteer

The role is remote.

GFM is a movement of Christ-centered communities dedicated to mobilizing, training, and multiplying disciples and churches to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the least reached people groups of the earth.

An Ambassador Volunteer is to represent Global Frontier Missions in their local Church and community. Ambassadors are mature believers with a passion to see Christ glorified among all peoples. This position encourages Ambassadors to use their unique gifts, talents and experiences to personally mobilize believers through discipleship and Biblical education. Ambassadors will help facilitate next steps for individuals and churches with engaging unreached people groups both locally and globally.


Position Status


  • Volunteer position - no salary or compensation
  • Time commitment: 2-3 hours weekly - based on collaboration with Ambassador Coordinator and volunteer availability for one year.

  • Member of a local church in good standing
  • Public speaking or small group facilitation skills
  • Knowledgeable about GFM opportunities and able to share about those within their spheres of influence

Ambassador Responsibilities


  • Steward the GFM vision, mission and values in their area of influence.
  • Lead Step In Studies.
  • Set up booths and share GFM’s vision, mission, and values on college campuses, in Perspectives classes, at missions conferences, and events. (Based on area demographics)
  • Share GFM’s vision, mission, and values in churches and small groups.
  • Help churches implement one-day “Cross-Culture Catalyst” events.
  • Gather groups of mission mobilizers in “huddles” and mission candidates into “goer groups”.
  • Network with churches, organizations, denominational associations in their area.
  • Monthly collaboration with other Ambassador Volunteers and Ambassador Coordinator.
  • Attend a 6 - 8 week training program with the Ambassador Coordinator in person or online. Minimum one hour a week time commitment.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development relevant to mobilization and missions.

Qualifications


  • Personally embrace GFM’s purpose, vision, values. and statement of faith
  • A sense of calling from God towards missions mobilization.
  • Must identify as a maturing believer in Jesus Christ with a high view of Scripture (2 Tim 3:16-17; Col 3:16-17)
  • Demonstrate humility, teachability, and an ability to work well with others (Eph 4:15)
  • Display advanced interpersonal relational skills and be dedicated to peacemaking (Heb 10:24-25)
  • Function well both independently and in a team environment (1 Cor 12:25-26)
  • Able to use or learn internal communications and technology systems (Email, Google Drive, etc.)
